Homemade Horchata

Cinco de Mayo is fast approaching and while I have a few good Mexican recipes on this blog, I would like to share more-so I need to do it pronto!  Gavin was excited when I told him we were having Mexican food over the next couple of days.  I came across this recipe for Horchata and was immediately intrigued.  I've made it twice already.  Looks like milk but it’s not….I love trying new things!

Yellow Butter Cake with Chocolate Frosting

Happy New Year!

I hope you all had a safe & wonderful New Years.  Ours was pretty good (we went to a house warming/new year’s party) and managed to stay up until midnight-pretty much a record for us.  I think one of my favorite moments of the night was when we released Chinese lanterns-it was a beautiful night. I wish I would have snapped a picture, but hey, it would've ruined the momentJ

No Bake Granola Bars

One of my first blog posts were about granola bars.  Holy cow, it’s been almost 2 years.   Almost 2 years that I completely fell in love with making granola bars, and it was time I tried a different recipe.  Preferably a recipe that quick & no bake. This one comes together in no time & is so easy peasy!  The chocolate drizzle is optional but highly recommended.  Can you ever say no to chocolate?  The answer is no!
