Chipotle Bourbon Barbecue Pulled Pork Sliders
This
meal has two things that I rarely cook with-alcohol & my crockpot. I don’t know why it interested me to begin with;
perhaps I wanted to try something new.
I know crockpots are supposed to be convenient, but I get so worried
that mine will burn down my house (irrational, I know!). I’ve expressed my feelings in previous
posts. Still trying to remedy this-it’s
so hard!!

BBQ Veggie Joes
I am beginning to love my slow cooker. I am slowly using it more and more over the past year and starting to trust it. Horray! This means that the possibilities are endless when it comes to menu planning for days that I am working. I decided to make this vegetarian version of sloppy joes as when we were kids, my parents made it once in a blue moon and we always highly anticipated those nights. I wanted to try a healthier version to start with as I have actually never made sloppy joes (and as I am writing this I am thinking to myself I need to fix this, and soon!).

Chai Tea: The Slow-Cooker Way
Chai Tea is another of my favorite drinks. I remember the 1st time Marlina and I ordered it-we were in grade 9 and decided it was high time to splurge on this drink everyone talked about. Truth to be told, we didn’t really care for it at first but eventually grew to love it. So happy that our taste buds changed!

Slow Cooker Sweet and Sour Chicken
I have yet another confession to make. I'm completely terrified of my crock pot. I know my feelings are unfounded and slightly crazy, but it's true. It's fairly new (I bought it last year), and I haven't been able to leave it alone for hours on end yet. I'm afraid it might burn down my house! My mom uses hers all the time without worrying, but I'm not used to that at all. So I'm slowly forcing myself to leave the house for short periods of times and gradually lengthen my time away, working myself up to 12 hours for when I have to work.
